Karen helps organize the Business Professional Women (BPW/USA) Camp BPW for inner city disadvantaged youth, an annual day camp for teen at-risk girls. Arleen Boyd - Associate Broker.  I am a highly trained paramedic that serves with the Norwood Fire Department as E.M.T. Trainer and coordinator.  I teach life saving techniques in classes throughout Colorado as an instructor.  I make several ambulance runs a week as a paramedic.  I have served in this capacity for the past 15 years.

 

Chris Binner - I am a member of the Telluride Rotary Club, past President 3 years ago. And I am a member of the Telluride Planning and Zoning Commission since 2001.  I am on the board of Pinhead Institute.

 

Harley Brooke-Hitching - I have served on Town Council, and I have been a Trustee of One to One for 8 years.

 

Scott Bennett - I have been a volunteer fireman for 10 years and a volunteer ski coach with TSSC for 12 years.

Donna Fernald - Is an active EMT who volunteers a lot of time.

 

Dave Flatt - Mountain Village Owners Association, Elected Director on the Board of Directors from 1987 to 2005, Mountain Village Metropolitan District, Elected Director on the Board of Directors from 1990 to 2004, Co-Chairman for the Committee to form the Town of Mountain Village 1993 to 1995, Elected to the Town Council of Mountain Village from 1995 to 2003 where I also served as Vice Mayor and Mayor.

Elizabeth Foley - I am a One to One Study Buddy for a first grader learning to read.  I have volunteered for the Wine Festival for the past six years, and organized other volunteers as Event Captain for the past 3 years.  I served 2 two-year terms as a member of HARC, and I have helped out with the Senior Luncheons.  I have also volunteered for teh Norwood Roping Club that puts on the San Miguel County Rodeo.  And I volunteer for the San Juan Riding Program for adaptive horse back riding.  I volunteered for the Telluride Aids Benefit for 2 years, and the Telluride Fur Ball to benefit the Humane Society.  I have enjoyed volunteering as a State Director for TAR 2007.

 

Rick Fusting - Senior luncheons at Christ Church, provide transportations for for the elderly, One to One mentor for about five years and now currently on the One to One Board.  Top fundraiser for the Just for Kids Foundation in 2004.  Nature Conservancy.  KOTO.  Selection Committee for Quest Scholarship Program, which will fund local kids for the full four years.

 

Larry George - I'm somewhat involved with my church, Telluride Christian Fellowship Center.  I do not do a ton, but besides attending regularly, I take my turn cooking lunch for everyone after church and help set up/tear down for church in the park. 

 

Janice Gerona - I volunteer in the schools and I am on the board of Sparky Productions (a non profit that does projects involving theater, documentaries etc. and many projects that include kids).

 

Scott Gillies - I teach part time in the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program, skiing and kayaking/ rafting.  I am PSIA Adaptive Level 2 certified, meaning I am certified to teach the following disciplines through intermediate capabilities (level 6 of 9):  cognitive/ blind;  3 track/ 4 track (standup amputees, other disabilities requiring one or two skis plus one or two outriggers);  and biski/ monoski (e.g. amputees, para/

quadriplegic).  I was formerly a youth soccer and a little league coach.

 

Moreta Hartman - Managing Broker serves as treasurer of the Wright’s Mesa Historical Society, a group that is working towards a new Museum for Norwood.  I also serve on the Norwood Planning and Zoning Board.

Nancy Hild - President of the One to One board, which I am very proud of.  I volunteer in the classroom at the elementary school.   

Kristin Hughes - I volunteer at the Telluride Historical Museum, as well as I volunteer as the food coordinator for the Ah Haa Art auction annually.

Pete Johnson - Fire fighter-5 years, church elder, "Just for Kids" anch homeowners boardboard member, junior achievement instructor, past chair of the Positive Alternative Team-Telluride schools, founder of the school drug education week, Rotary member, Ski Ranch homeowners board , soccer coach, cub scout leader.  I currently co-chair the rec. center advisory committee and serve as a board member of Little Cone Homeowners Assoc.  I also serve as a board member of the Sundt Foundation which produced the video Natural High II sent to every school in the country (over 100,000) and working on preproduction of Natural High III.

 

Jeanne Josey - I volunteer to help with the Sr. luncheons & drive Seniors’ to Doctor appointments, PO, grocery, etc.   I also helped w/ the highway clean up recently.   I am a former EMT & SAR volunteer. ( I started the Avalanche dog program here in Telluride).  I also volunteer with the kids Ski & Snowboard club (Parent Committee for Snowboard kids.

Glenn Lester- I volunteer 2 days a week to the TASP (Telluride Adaptive Sports Program) as an on snow ski buddy.

 

Alan Lewis - 18 years on the TRAA board; two years as vice president adaptive ski program; two years as president of the Telluride Rotary Club; trainer for Scout aviation merit badges; 20 year member and participant Angel Flight program; 13 year volunteer aviation oriented SAR; Three years Telluride ski instructor; 10 years Telluride adaptive volunteer; four years Mountain Film volunteer; three years off and on Telluride Choral Society.

 

Matthew Lome - I offer an instructive seminar at the Ah Haa School for the Arts on Songwriting.

I also host OPEN MIC NITE every Wednesday night at Big Daddy’s for our local community of musicians.

 

Jill Masters - I've been involved with Emergency Medical Services for almost 20 years, as a paramedic for Telluride Fire District and as training officer. Also, I was involved with Search and Rescue for almost 10 years. (I don't have any photos to email at the moment, but there are probably some that can be scanned at the firehouse).  I am currently Telluride town council member.

 

Susan McCormick - I have been volunteering with the senior lunches and the TAR senior ride program.  In addition, I help each year with the Rainbow Preschool fundraiser and the San Miguel Resource Center's Chocolate Lover's Fling.

Kelly McGinty - I am a board member for the San Juan Riding Program (SJRP), promoting equine facilitated therapy and activities for people with disabilities.  The Program provides quality recreational experiences and makes the outdoors accessible by utilizing teaching techinques.  These interactions with horses promote opportunities for beneficial improvement of physical, emotional and cognitive well-being to improve quality of life. 

 

Jim Nerlin ­ - I am a member of the board of directors for the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program and very active in fund raising for this organization.

 

JJ Ossola - 2001 to present, San Miguel County Historic Commission.

Angela Pashayan - I am an active volunteer with Christ Church in Telluride, serving as an Elder on their Session Board and heading up youth education. For the past 3 years I have served the church in its endeavors to provide a fun place for children to learn about spirituality as well as doing whatever was needed to create an open atmosphere for the whole community. From promoting Angel Baskets, Senior Lunches, our Food Pantry for the needy, and cultivating a wonderfiul Pre-school in our facility, Christ Church is what I do when I'm not doing real estate. I voulunteer & support the team of my 3 son's who play soccer and basketball as well as finically support 'Julius'- an 8 year old who lives in Uganda.

Michael Saftler- I sit on the committee trying to establish a Community Garden, I am the local Rabbi, I sit on the Board of the Telluride Jewish Community and I sit on the central committee of the San Miguel County Democratic Party.

 

Eric Saunders - One to One Mentor and Just For Kids Board Member.

 

Mike Shimkonis   - President of the Mountainfilm Board of Directors. With the help of a handful of other Realtors we created the Telluride First-Time Homebuyers Program. Former MLS Director for the Telluride Association of Realtors. Donate to Just For Kids, Ah Haa, San Miguel Resource Center and other local charities.

Craig Snitko - I've been a volunteer with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program for five years and this will be my sixth season. 

 

Dorothy Steele - I am a member of the advisory board to the Telluride Chamber Music Association.  I served on the board as a regular member for four years prior to my current role.

 

Daniel Tucker - Associate Broker serves on the Norwood Water Commission, The Norwood Planning and Zoning Board and is Founder and Board Member of the Ah Haa School of the Arts.

 

David Wadley - I am a Captain with the Telluride fire dept. I serve as a member of the Telluride Planning and Zoning commission. I am Chair of the Telluride Fire Department Scholarship Committee.  I am Co Chair of the Legislative Committee for TAR.

 

Michael Ward - I have been on the Hockey board of directors for 4 years and a Coach for the U19 girls team for the past 2 years. I have also been on the Parks and Rec. board for the past 3 years and I was a volunteer fireman for 7 years.

 

Madelaine Whiteman- I've served on the Tar Board of Directors for 5 years. I volunteer for the senior's lunch and the TAR Senior Ride program. I work as a volunteer for the San Miguel Resource Center's Choclate Lover's Fling and at the Aids Benefit Fashion Show. I have been actively involved in Mayoral campaigns in Telluride. I have served on the Cimarron Lodge Homeowners Association Board of Directors for several years and am currently President. I recently started a Codependance Anonymous meeting in our community.

Larry/Debbie Woddell – Larry has been a behind the scenes help for many years for the Telluride AIDS Benefit.  Deb is actively involved and recruits Larry to help with support across a wide range of topics and to provide great business guidance.  High Country Properties also provides financial support.  Additionally, we contribute both time and fuding to other organizations in the Telluride, Ridgway and Montrose communities.

 

Mary Wodehouse - My community involvement lately has centered on Christ Church. I am an elder with Christ Church and participate in activities that are sponsored by the church including food bank, angel baskets and more. I was on the school board when we got the bond passed for the HS addition and was instrumental in planning for the Michael Palm Theater and the school addition.

Joanne Young- I have been an on-snow volunteer with TASP (Telluride Adaptive Sports Program) for 7 years; served on the board for 4 years and have been chair of their fund raising auction/dance for 3 years, raising a record $70,000 net to benefit TASP.  I am the current President of the Telluride Women's Network and served on the Aldasoro Design Review Board for 5 years.
